Record Store Day 2012
On Saturday 21st April, The Music Exchange was getting Nottingham involved in Record Store Day– a celebration of independent record shops. There were records being played and orderly queues being formed and we had the honour of being let loose on the shop to get it decorated for the day.
Starting with the poster we made for The Music Exchange, we had the typeface and record head man we designed cut from white vinyl – and then wrote around it to let everyone know what bands were playing and when.
The rest of the shop was covered in paper and coloured tape: a group of record headed fellows tip their record cover hats; Iggy graced one corner in a special Record Store Day wallpaper we made; flags poked out of the corners and a bit of bunting showed up in unexpected places.
